TCW began as a small, family-owned warehouse business in 1948, delivering tobacco products in the greater Nashville area. Today, what was our small humble start is now ranked among the largest intermodal operations in the country. In fact, TCW has grown into a diversified transportation enterprise providing a full suite of logistics services. Services include intermodal drayage, truckload, full-service logistics solutions, dedicated fleet services, transloading & warehousing, and yard management services
Three generations of the George family have solidified the legacy and commitment of TCW in the transportation and logistics industry. Original founder, Howard George, was followed by his son, Phil George, and most recently, his grandson, Scott George; each pioneering and expanding the foundation, footprint and sustainability of TCW as a business enterprise with the same level of dependability, stability and integrity that began in 1948.
On January 1, 2022, in a move unusual for the transportation and logistics industry, Scott George transferred ownership of TCW, Inc. to its employees, believing so strongly that the long-term future and legacy of his family was best protected and fulfilled through the very employees who invest of themselves each and every day in the company’s success.
